This session discusses how data in the electronic patient record can benefit care and the consequences of poor data quality. It provides an overview of SNOMED CT for clinicians and those new to SNOMED CT; providing advice on selecting the most appropriate clinical terms to support the care of the citizen. It also illustrates the benefits of national data standards and where to find the associated guidance.
